ISB (Indian School of Business) is one the leading B-schools amongst not only the ones present in India but overseas as well. Set aside the rankings, Indian School of Business has a rich reputation given to its student as well as faculty diversity. It was brought into being by two executives of McKinsey & Company back in 2001, and since its inception the college has grown remarkably well by all standards. ISB received 27th rank in 2017 Financial Times’ Global MBA rankings. It is awarded as one of the youngest B-Schools in the world to attain a Global MBA Rankings. ISB has also secured a sightly global 8th position in Financial Times’ average annual salary report. It even ranks above the prestigious IIM Calcutta.
The admissions at ISB Hyderabad has some prerequisites same as the other B-schools. For a typical PGP programme, one has to be a bachelor or any other equivalent degree has to be presented by him or her. He/she should have appeared and scored well at their GMAT or GRE papers, should have at least 24 months of experience and a valid TOEFL/IELTS score if the medium at graduation level was not English. The students are allowed for re-application in the next session with an option to update their profiles to get admissions. In the selection process, there are personal interviews but no Group Discussions as such. For international students, the interviews are telephonic. There are two cycles of admissions for a term and it is objected to make 50% of them to be claimed at each. However, the number of offers made are unwarranted.

SCHOLARSHIPS Aditya Scholarship of upto 4 lakh INR to the students with an annual family income (including their own) less than 10 lakh per annum. Bajaj Auto Scholarship and Citi Scholarship starting from 5 lakh INR upto full programme tution fee waiver. This is completely merit based and depends on the admission authorities. ISB Alumni Tuition Waiver of 4 to 5 lakh INR and depends on the evaluation of PGP application. Jagannath Arora Scholarship, which is a need based scholarship for female applicants with amount upto 5 lakh INR. Other D’décor , Hilti, Hitachi, etc are there too.
PLACEMENTS Although the institute isn’t so old to be in the long range business, it still has maintained quite a decent record in the field of placements. According to the recent reports, the placement season for the 2016 batch has recorded the highest placement around 72-75 lakh INR to the minimum placement of 16 lakh INR. The average placements, on the other hand have been set at 22 lakh INR. Recruiters such as McKinsey & Co. Inc , Microsoft India, Amazon, Accenture Services, Novartis, Philips , Practo, Aditya Birla Group, Cummins India, Cognizant, E&Y, and many more keep coming every year to bag students. Also, there is no internship program for students enrolled for PGP at ISB.
EXCHANGE PROGRAMMES ISB Hyderabad has set benchmarks in the case of Student Exchange Programmes, especially. Students have come and studied at ISB from all over the world. B-Schools like Bocconi (Italy), Kellog School of Business(USA), London Business School(UK), National University of Singapore(NUS), Richard Ivey School (Canada), The Wharton School(USA) and several other prominent 30+ B-Schools which qualify for this category.
