JEE Advanced 2025 Eligibility Criteria Changed

Joint Admission Board (JAB) has revised the JEE Advanced eligibility criteria 2025. JEE aspirants must know that JEE advanced 3rd attempt has been cancelled by JAB. One must know that earlier the number of attempts were three but now as per the new JEE Advanced eligibility criteria 2025 the number of attempts has been restored to 2.

  • As per the JEE Advanced official notification JAB has restored the number of JEE Adavnced attempt to 2 from 3.
  • Earlier the total number of attempts was 2.

After taking JEE Main 2025, candidates must be amongst the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories).

JEE Advanced Age Limit – 2025

Aspirants must have born on or after October 1, 2000. Under this criteria JEE Advanced eligibility criteria for reserved category gives a relaxation of 5 years to the SC, ST, and PwD candidates.

JEE Advanced Attempt Limit in 2025

  • This is the newest change in JEE Advanced eligibility criteria 2025. Now candidates can give only two attempts in two consecutive years.
  • Appearance in 12th (or equivalent) Examination.
  • In the 10+2 exam candidates must have Mathematics as a compulsory subject along with Physics and Chemistry.
  • JEE Advanced class 12 percentage required for OBC and general category is 75%.
  • JEE Advanced eligibility marks in class 12 for SC/ST is 65%.

JEE Advanced Eligibility – Earlier Admission to IITs

A candidate should not have been previously taken admission to IIT for any of the academic offerings.
