XAT Exam Important Tips
Fix a revision schedule – The last month is very crucial for XAT and therefore you should make a proper schedule to revise the topics. Prioritise each section and do an overall revision.
Brush Up Core Concept – Having clarity in the basic concepts is very important and therefore brush up the basics.
Allot a fixed time slot for your weaker area – Until now you must have analysed your strengths and weaknesses. So areas where you lag in need special attention and make it a habit to revise the difficult topics everyday and that time slot should be dedicated only to those topics.
Make short notes – The last days should focus on your daily revisions and for this you should make short notes for each section. This will be more handy and will be easy for you to revise your topics.
Take XAT Mock Tests – Now since you have covered the entire XAT syllabus in detail; now this is the right time to take mock tests. Mocks create a real time exam environment and give you a reality check on your preparation. This also boosts your confidence.
Analyse mock test results – It is very important to analyse XAT mock test results. This will help you know the topics that need more attention. Analysing your mock scores will also give you a detailed insight into your preparedness for the exam.
Practice previous year XAT question paper – Make sure you solve the previous year question paper and analyse your answer.
Memorise vocabulary and word meanings – Make it a regular habit to boost your vocabulary and memorise word meanings.
Read Newspapers – You must be aware of the latest happenings and current affairs for the GK section. So read daily newspapers and magazines to be updated with current affairs.
Know the XAT Marking Scheme and XAT Pattern – You must know that 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer whereas a negative marking of ¼ is done for wrong attempts and 0.1 marks will be deducted for more than 8-12 unattempted questions. There is no negative marking for the GK section.
