National Testing Agency has made a lot of changes in JEE Main 2025 rules. These new rules are implemented for smooth administration of the exam and to also maintain transparency. One such JEE Main 2025 new rule is tie breaking policy wherein the scores of Mathematis will be prioritised for the tie breaker followed by Physics and Chemistry. Apart from this as per the new rules of JEE Main 2025, negative marking has been introduced for numerical based questions. The authorities have also reduced the JEE Man syllabus 2025. JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern Revised
The authorities have made revisions in the JEE Main exam pattern 2025. As per the latest JEE Main 2025 exam pattern, out of the 10 optional questions, 5 have been deleted in section B of paper 1 and 2. Now all the 5 questions of this section is compulsory. Now since questions have been deleted the total number of questions in JEE Main 2025 is reduced.

Changes in JEE Main 2025 Marking Scheme
As per the latest JEE Main 2025 marking scheme there will be negative marking of -1 for numerical-based questions in Section B and 4 marks will be awarded for correct answer.
JEE Main 2025 Syllabus Reduced by NTA
The syllabus of JEE Main 2025 has been revised by NTA and some of the topics in Physics have been removed. Topics that have been removed are Resolution of Vectors, Unit Vectors
Scalars & Vectors, Vectors, Addition & Subtraction and Scalar & Vector products.
Total Number of JEE Main 2025 Exam Centres Reduced
The authorities have reduced the number of exam centres for JEE Main exam 2025.Earlier there was 300 centres but for 2025 the number of centres have been reduced to 284.
JEE Main Tie Breaking Policy 2025
New tie-breaking policy of JEE Main 2025 has been introduced by NTA. As per this policy if there is a tie between 2 candidates then candidates who score more in Mathematics will get a better rank. If the scores in Maths is equal then marks scored in Physics will be considered. Next, if the scores in Maths and Physics are also equal then Chemistry subject will be considered. Now if the tie still exists then the ratio of correct is to wrong answers will be taken into consideration. After all this if the tie still exists then in such as case the candidates will be assigned the same rank.
JEE Main Official Website Changed
The official website of JEE Main has been changed from jeemain.nta.ac.in to jeemain.nta.nic.in.
JEE Main Exam Duration Changed for PwD Candidates
PwD and PwBD candidates will now get one extra hour and the exam duration of these candidates is 4 hours instead of 3 hours.
