CAT Registration 2025 – Know Steps to Register, Expected Registration Dates and Form Fees

CAT 2025 registration is expected to begin in the month of August 2025. The official notification about the registration for CAT exam will be announced in July 2025. Last year there were a total of 3,29,000 registrations for the exam. The number is expected to cross 3.5 lakhs this year. In order to register for CAT 2025 one must first create a user ID and password using the personal mobile number and email id. The official website to register for CAT 2025 is iimcat.ac.in. The entire registration process is online and there is no other website to register for this exam. CAT registration fee 2025 is Rs 2500 for the candidates belonging to the general, EWS and OBC category whereas it is Rs 1250 for candidates who belong to the SC/ST and PwD category.

Steps to Register for CAT 2025

CAT Registration Stage 1 – Creating Your Account

• First candidates have to create an ID for CAT and for this you have to visit the official website for CAT – iimcat.ac.in. Once the CAT 2025 registration link is activated, click on register now.
• You will be redirected to a page where you have to enter your details such as Name, DoB, Email-id and contact number. You have to make sure that these details are filled in correctly.
  • Name – This should be your name mentioned in the official documents. 
  • Date of Birth – You have to fill in the correct DoB in the digital calendar that appears on the screen.
  • Email ID – This should be your own email address and should be filled in correctly. All the official communication is shared to this email id so make sure that the ID is correct.
  • Mobile Number – Enter the correct number as the OTP will be shared on this number while registering for CAT 2025.
• Now filling in all the details you have to enter the captcha code to authenticate the registration details of CAT 2025.
• The login credentials of CAT 2025 will be shared over the registered email id and mobile number.

CAT Registration Process 2025 – Stage 2 – Login Using Your User ID and Password

Now using your CAT ID and password you have to log in to the window. 

Once you log in through the registration window of CAT 2025 you get access to the CAT 2025 application form.

CAT Registrations 2025 – Stage 3 – Submission of CAT Application Form 2025

Now candidates have to fill in the personal information along with the academic information in the application form. They also need to attach the necessary documents such as marksheet, category certificate (if applicable), etc.

CAT Registration Fees 2025 – Stage 4

Once CAT form 2025 is filled you have to pay the fees. CAT 2025 registration fees for general, EWS and OBC category is Rs 2500 and for SC, ST and PwD is Rs 1250.

CAT Registration Last Date

The expected last date to register for CAT 2025 is September 13, 2025. Aspiring candidates must make sure that they submit their duly filled application form for CAT 2025 on or before the last date.

Documents Required for CAT Registration 2025

• Marksheets of class 10th & 12th
• Graduation certificate or higher education if any.
• Work experience certificate for working professionals.
• Scanned images of your passport-size photo and signature. Make sure that the photo is not more than six months old and it should have a white background.
• Scanned image of a passport-size photo – Dimensions: 35mm X 45mm and the scanned Image of the signature – Dimensions: 1000mm X 35 mm. 
• The signature and photo should be in .jpg or .jpeg format and each of these file sizes should not be more than 80KB each..
• Caste certificates if applicable.
