JoSAA Registration 2025 Begins on June 3
Candidates aiming for admission to IITs or institutes under the NIT+ system must complete the JoSAA 2025 registration process. Here’s how to register:
Step 1: Registration for New Candidates
Click on the link for new registration and authenticate using your JEE Main 2025 application number, candidate name, mother’s name, and DOB. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number and email ID registered with JEE Main 2025. After verifying the OTP, review the auto-filled information and set a password for your JoSAA candidate portal.
Step 2: JoSAA Candidate Login
Log in to the JoSAA portal using your JEE Main 2025 application number, the password created, and the OTP received on your registered contact details. Once logged in, carefully verify the displayed information and confirm.
With these two steps, JoSAA 2025 registration is complete. Candidates can now proceed with the choice-filling process.

JoSAA Registration 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements for JoSAA Counselling 2025. Here are the detailed criteria for IITs and NIT+ system institutes:
Eligibility Criteria:
- JEE Advanced Qualification: Candidates must qualify for JEE Advanced 2025 to be eligible for admission to academic programs at IITs.
- Class XII Performance:
- Year of Passing: Candidates should have appeared for Class 12 (or equivalent) for the first time in 2024 or 2025.
- Required Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must be among the subjects taken in the first attempt.
- Minimum Performance Requirements:
Candidates must meet at least one of the following:
- Score a minimum 75% aggregate marks in Class 12 ( or 65% for SC/ST/PwD)
- Be in top 20 percentile in their respective board category wise.

Step 2: Choice Filling | After registration, candidates can fill in their preferred branches and colleges. The system will display available options based on JEE Main/Advanced qualification. |
Step 3: Choice Locking | After filling in choices, candidates must lock them and take a printout for future reference. Locked choices will be considered for seat allotment. |
Step 4: JoSAA 2025 Seat Allocation | Seats will be allotted based on rank, preferences, and availability. Candidates can choose Freeze, Float, or Slide options based on their satisfaction with the allocated seat. |
Step 5: Seat Acceptance Fee Payment | Candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee online. Non-payment will be treated as rejection of the allotted seat and disqualifies candidates from further counselling rounds. |
