• Difficulty Level of Exam: If the exam is difficult, the cutoff will be lower as candidates will score comparatively lower in the exam and vice-versa.
• Total Number of Test-Takings: If there are more applicants appearing on the exam, it will lead to high cutoff scores because of the increase in competition and vice versa.

What is BITSAT Rank?

Candidates through BITSAT rank get to know how they performed in comparison with their competitors. A high or low score doesn’t determine if a candidate is ranked higher or lower. This is because the rank is based on relative performance. This means that if you score high, let’s say, 330 and there are 100 candidates who have scored above 330, your rank will be 101 or lower. On the contrary, with the same score, if there are 10 candidates with a score above 330, the rank will be higher, i.e. 11. Higher rank means candidates have a higher chance of getting a seat in BITS Pilani campus and in the desired course.
