CAT 2022 Notifications Out!
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) which is the official conducting body for the CAT exam has officially released the CAT 2022 Notifications on July 31st 2022 on the official website iimcat.ac.in. CAT 2022 will be conducted by IIM Bangalore on 27th November.
IIM Ahmedabad conducted the CAT Exam last year. The official CAT 2022 Notifications will consist of CAT important dates, CAT eligibility and CAT exam pattern among others.

CAT 2022: Eligibility
- Candidates must have completed graduation in any stream with minimum 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) or equivalent from a recognised university.
- Final year bachelor’s degree candidates or those awaiting their result are also eligible to appear for the CAT exam.
- Candidates with professional qualifications such as CA/CS/ICWA can also appear in the CAT.
5 Important Things to Note For CAT 2022!
- CAT 2022 to be held on 27th November: This year, the CAT exam is scheduled to be on the 27th of November. The exam will be held in three slots, one of which will be allotted to you by the examination authorities as mentioned in the CAT 2022 notifications. You’ll get to know your exam slot via the CAT 2022 admit card.
- Test Format: This year, the CAT exam is scheduled for 120 minutes just like the previous year. Candidates will be tested in 3 sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension and Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation.

- Administrative Details: For the application process, candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories have to submit an application fee of Rs. 2300/-. For those belonging to the SC/ST/PwD categories, the application fee would be Rs. 1150/-.
You can give 6 Test Centres preferences out of the available cities to choose from. Test centres, once allotted, cannot be changed. - Other Details: Switching of sections during the exam is not allowed. There’s a designated time allotted for each section after completion of which you can only attempt the next section.
There are some TITA questions where you need to type in your answers. There are no negative markings for TITA questions.
