Covering a Topic
Note: This blog is for the students who have enrolled for the iQuanta CAT Course.
As you start your CAT 2022 preparation, you should be aware of the exam pattern and syllabus. Take one topic at a time and prepare accordingly. Make sure that that you practice all the three sections everyday. After you’ve gone through the syllabus, follow these 5 steps religiously to fetch 99 perentile in CAT 2022.
1) Concept & Application: Covering the conceptual as well as the application part of a concept is important. You need to have a strong base before you start with the questions. Cover the concepts by attending both the conceptual Live stream sessions & Application Live sessions (Dual Pedagogy by iQuanta).
Covering both makes sure that your concepts are clear and you know when and where to apply these concepts.
2) Practice by iQuanta: After the topic is done make sure you are doing the iQuanta assignments and practice sessions in iQuanta secret Group. Start with your focus only towards accuracy and not speed. Once you start getting the questions right, the speed will come with practice. Take up 10-15 QA questions, 2-3 LRDI sets and 2 RCs everyday. As you start getting comfortable with these, increase the number of questions as per your capacity.
3) Self Study : Apart from the classes, it is also very essential that you understand the concepts by yourself. Try to analyse the solution to a question, the approach and formulae. Solve at least 50 questions from a topic as self study, for which the sources can be :
- iQuanta assignments in Dashboard
- Past CAT Papers
- IIM ABC Batch Questions (those haven’t bought it may buy it now)
- Any Books or in hand material that you have
4) Doubt Clarification : Make sure that your doubts are thoroughly solved. DO not leave them for later and do not ignore them. They might go forgotten once you leave them for later. Clarify any doubt that you get immediately by posting in paid group of iQuanta, be it from past class or while you are doing practice. We don’t limit the sources from where you can ask, you can ask us doubts from any CAT level material in the world.
5) Practice the Daily Questions by iQuanta : iQuanta Team is Posting 5-10 Quant questions, 1 LRDI Set, 1 RC SET and 1 Reading and Summary exercise daily for you to prepare in a balanced manner. It is very important that you practice everyday so that the concepts stay in your mind. Once you get out of practice, it would be very difficult to bounce back.
These are the 5 pointers you guys should do diligently right now. If you do follow these steps till CAT, there is no reason you can’t get a 99.5 percentile.
Apart from this, appear for as many mocks as you can and analyse them. Give as much time to mock analysis as much as you do while taking them. This will help you find out your weak points and then work on them. We will let you know when you should start taking Sectionals or Mocks in the iQuanta Paid group.
