The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 exam saw a major development on the day of the exam when the CAT committee issued a notification on their official website that two questions from the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) section of the CAT exam will not be considered for evaluation. This was due to the ambiguity of nature of the two questions. The CAT 2022 exam was conducted on November 27, 2022, and a total of 2.22 lakh candidates appeared for the exam out of the 2.55 lakhs registered candidates. The overall attendance was approximately 87 per cent on the exam day.
The CAT answer key was released on December 1 and candidates were allowed to raise objections in case of mistakes till December 4, 2022. The final answer key will be released along with the CAT 2022 result which is expected to be announced by IIM Bangalore in the first or second week of January 2023.
The CAT scores of the candidates in the two shifts will be adjusted on a prorated basis based on their responses to the balance questions in the DILR section.
