CLAT exam 2025 is a centralized national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to undergraduate (LLB) and postgraduate (LLM) programs offered by 22 national law universities (NLUs) and other institutions across India. CLAT assesses a candidate’s aptitude and knowledge in areas such as English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning. CLAT 2025 Registration Process: Overview

General Instructions

  • The CLAT 2025 examination is a national level examination that will be held in OFFLINE mode.
  • The applications have to be submitted ONLINE only from consortiumofnlus.ac.in the official CLAT website.
  • Indian Nationals/NRIs seeking admission in the UG programs shall appear in CLAT 2025.
  • Foreign Nationals need not appear for the test
  • For any information relating to the 22 National Law Universities, the candidate may refer to the e-brochure of the respective Institutions available on the Consortium website for the CLAT 2025 Registration process.
  • For NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign National seats, the applicants are advised to refer to the e-brochures as well as the websites of the respective NLUs for more details. All NRI Category candidates have to appear for the CLAT 2025 examination for those NLUs where such category is admitted through CLAT 2025 rankings and not admitted directly by the concerned Universities. Please note that for admission in these categories, you will need to apply directly to the concerned NLU in addition to appearing for the CLAT exam.   • Information regarding the details of intake, reservation policies, and the courses offered along with the fee structures of various participating National Law Universities is available in the Information Brochure of the CLAT 2025 Registration which can be accessed from the official website of CLAT and also from the websites of the participating NLUs. The candidates are, therefore, advised to thoroughly go through the rules, policies, and fee structure of the participating NLUs before filling in the CLAT 2025 Registration form for UG courses, and also for the NRI and Foreign National seats.
  • Information provided in the e-brochure regarding the CLAT 2025 Registration, intake, reservation policy, fee, courses offered, and the subjects taught at various levels including the areas of specialization, etc., has been specified very briefly. For detailed information regarding the same, the candidates may refer to the information available on the websites of the participating NLUs.
  • Candidates are advised to visit the CLAT 2025 website regularly for updates on the CLAT 2025 Registration process. The allotment of seats and the offer for admission through CLAT 2025 shall be provisional and shall not create any right of admission in favor of any candidate.

Documents To Be Uploaded With The CLAT 2025 Application Form

Below are the details to help you understand what documents to update in the CLAT Application Form.

  1. Passport size recent photograph.
  2. Signature of the candidate.
  3. Category certificate if you are applying under SC/ST/OBC.
  4. Relevant certificate issued by a competent authority if the candidate is P.W.D.
  5. Relevant certificate issued by a competent authority if you are coming under the BPL category.

NOTE:

  • The original certificates/documents issued by the competent authority as specified in the CLAT Registration 2025 brochure are to be submitted to the allotted University in the form and manner defined by the respective universities at the time of admission.
  • The photograph and signature of the candidate need not be attested while submitting the Online Application Form for CLAT Registration 2025.
  • All documents/certificates should be uploaded in PDF format only for CLAT Registration 2025.

Application Fee

Fill out the CLAT application form by paying the CLAT 2025 application fee that the aspirants are supposed to according to the below mentioned pointers.

  • Application fees can be paid online only. (Net banking, Debit Card, and Credit Card)
  • Application fee for General/OBC/PWD/NRI candidates: Rs.4,000/-
  • Application fee for SC/ST/BPL category candidates: Rs.3,500/-
  • Application Fee is non-refundable.

Admit Card/Hall ticket

  • The candidate can download the Admit Card/Hall ticket by logging into his/her account. The exact date on which the hall tickets will be made available will be intimated on the official website.

CLAT 2025 Application Form Correction

The CLAT 2025 form correction window will open for 2-3 days after registration of the CLAT 2025 is closed. Candidates must make the necessary changes within this correction period, though only a few details can be edited in their application form. This correction facility is available to those who have registered for the exam and paid the online examination fee. The important dates for the correction window will be announced shortly after the closing or the last date of the CLAT registration process.

Candidates must note that they may be required to pay an additional fee for making changes to their application forms. The steps for CLAT form correction are as follows:

  • Go on the official website of the Consortium of NLUs consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • Click on the application correction link
  • Login with your mobile number and enter password
  • Click on the ‘Edit Application Form’ button
  • After making the required changes, click on ‘Next’
  • Once candidates have made the changes, click on the declaration checkbox
  • Click on Save

CLAT 2025 Registration: Eligibility Criteria

Check the eligibility criteria of CLAT 2025 exam and fill out the application form. The aspiring candidates can check if they meet the eligibility criteria.

  • To be eligible for CLAT 2025, one must have scored at least 45% in class 12th exams or equivalent qualifications from a recognized board or institution.
  • For SC/ST category, the minimum required percentage in class 12th is 40%

  • Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have finished their class 12th education from a recognized board to be eligible for CLAT 2025

CLAT PG Eligibility Criteria 2025

  • Educational Qualifications: To be eligible for CLAT PG 2025, candidates must have an LLB degree—either a 3-year or 5-year program—from an institution accredited by the BCI.
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit to sit for the CLAT 2025
  • Minimum Marks Required: For General /OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI 50% and for SC/ST 45%

CLAT 2025 Registration: Seat Intake

CLAT 2025 Registration entails that the 22 participating NLUs will accept only CLAT 2025 scores for admission to their UG and PG courses for the upcoming academic session through the CLAT 2025 Registration process. The program-wise seat intake is as follows.
