CUET syllabus is difficult to grasp at first because of various variables. There are three sections. Section 1 is dedicated to language, Section II relates to Domain subjects you want to choose for your UG admission and Section III relates to the general aptitude section.
The good news is that for getting into certain universities like DU, general aptitude is not required for certain courses. For example, as an economic UG aspirant, you need not take a general aptitude test to get admission into DU.
More details on CUET are mentioned below:
The CUET Exam, also known as the Common University Entrance Test, is a common entrance exam that will be administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for UG admissions at all Central Universities in India. A total of 54 Central Universities will accept applications for UG courses based on the NTA’s CUET 2022 score.
The NTA (National Testing Agency), which is the regulatory authority for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at India’s top Central Universities, will administer the test.

Best Subject Combination
There are over 25+ subject options available in the CUET exam. The same course may have different eligibility criteria in different Universities, for example for pursuing B.A. (Political Science) at Delhi University a student needs to take the CUET exam in Any one from Section I + Any three from Section II and on the other hand if you want to pursue the same course in Banaras Hindu University, a student needs to take the exam in Section I A – Language Test – (Hindi or English) and Section III – General Test only. Similarly, this eligibility varies in every University. As you can see it gets confusing for the candidates to decide how to take the exam. So, we formulated the Best Combination of subjects for the Humanities/Arts students that targets most of the Universities and Courses:-
1 Language + 3/4 Domains + General Test
Note- For some courses, the University may demand to take some particular domain subject in the CUET exam to fulfill the eligibility criteria of that course. For example, to pursue the BBA/BMS course at Delhi University a student must take Mathematics/Applied Mathematics in Domain subjects to be considered for admission.
Most Universities demand that the domain subjects and the class 12th subjects should be the same.
