CLAT 2025 exam was conducted on 1st December, 2024 in offline mode in around 100+ exam centres in all over the country. The CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is among the top law exams in the country. For the CLAT 2025 exam 75000+ candidates have registered. As per the official notification of the CLAT 2025 exam the overall attendance for the CLAT 2025 exam was 96.33%. Out of the total candidates who appeared for the CLAT 2025 exam 57% were females and 43% were male candidates. CLAT is a gateway to the top NLUs which are among the top law colleges in India. Hence, CLAT is the most preferred exam among all the candidates. The NLUs are spread across 22 states and a union territory making it easy for the students who want to appear for the CLAT exam from any part of the country. As per reports in CLAT 2024 exam around 71243 candidates have registered for the CLAT exam of which 68786 have appeared in the exam. In the CLAT PG exam 10948 students have registered and out of these 10282 candidates have appeared for the exam. Check below the data course wise:

Seat Intake of NLUs and Low Success Rate
The success rate in the CLAT exam is very low as compared to other exams. Only 4 to 6% of the candidates who are participating in the CLAT exam make it to the top NLUs. The low success rate in CLAT exam is due to limited seats and high competition. Remaining students either appear in other law exams or use their CLAT scores to get admission into other law colleges accepting CLAT scores. The number of NLUs has increased to 25 in the last 5 years which in turn has improved the overall seat intake in NLUs. In total NLUs offer 4000+ seats combining all the programmes. The most difficult section of the CLAT exam is the Quantitative Techniques. The hardest section is the one that deals with mathematics or the numeric ability section. Candidates are given one mark for each correct answer and 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
More than 1 lakh students have appeared for the CLAT 2025 exam. Out of which only 10923 candidates were selected for admission into NLUs and other colleges. The test was conducted to get admission into 24 NLUs in all over the country.
