AILET 2025 Exam Pattern: Sectional-Division
The old AILET Pattern had almost equal weightage of marks for all the sections. However, with the current exam pattern, the marks allotment to the Logical Reasoning section is more than the other two. AILET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Before we discuss the AILET Preparation Strategy, first let’s discuss the AILET’s Eligibility Criteria. As we know the exam is divided into 3 sections and unlike CLAT it is a speed-based exam. The AILET’s Eligibility goes like this:-
- Qualification: Any candidate who has completed 10+2 or equivalent with the requisite score is eligible for the AILET.
- Minimum Marks:
- 45% marks or its equivalent for the General/OBC category students.
- 40% marks or equivalent for the SC/ST/PwD Category students.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear in AILET.
Note: Candidates who are appearing in the 12th exam are also eligible for AILET 2025.

AILET 2025 Syllabus | Section-Wise Weightage
As we have discussed above the AILET exam consists of three sections, General English, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning. The Logical Reasoning Section has the highest sectional and marks weightage in the AILET Exam. It alone carries 70 marks out of 150. Note: Since there is no Legal Aptitude section in AILET, there might be a few questions in the Logical Reasoning that would test the candidate’s familiarity with Legal Principles. So some legal topics should also be added to your AILET Preparation Strategy.
AILET Preparation Strategy for 2025
NLU Delhi has offered only 123 seats for the 5-year BA LLB Program for 2025 making the competition of AILET very high. The total time duration has been changed from 90 minutes to 120 minutes making the exam even more lengthier.
