BITSAT 2025 Preparation Tips
- NCERT Matters: Class 11 and 12 of NCERT Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology are the backbone of the test. Most of the questions are directly or indirectly asked from the chapters. Understand the concepts, highlight key points and pay attention to diagrams and tables in relevant topics.
- Take Up Online Courses: Candidates who want detailed exam strategy, from topics to preparation, in a limited time can take up quality online courses available. One such is iQuanta’s BITSAT Crash Course 2025. The highlights of the course include a 1000+ concept video package for clearing concepts in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, Master Question Banks, 3000+ questions spanning all difficulty levels and topics, formula booklet and sheet for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
- Regular Practice of Mock Tests: Candidates can find a sample test in the BITSAT 2025 official website which they can attempt to get an understanding of the question paper and difficulty level. It will be released in the month of May/April 2025. Meanwhile, candidates can complete the syllabus and attempt subject -wise mock tests to identify the weak areas and work on improving them.
- Analyse Previous Years’ Question Papers: Have a look at the previous 5-6 years BITSAT papers to get an understanding of the topics and concepts that have been constantly asked. Also, it will help give an idea on the high-weightage topics.
- Adopt Time Management Techniques: As BITSAT 2025 is a time-based test it is important to dedicate a specific amount of time on each part. Around 35-40 minutes for Physics, 30-35 minutes for Chemistry and Biology, 45-50 minutes for Mathematics and 25-30 minutes for English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. Spare 10-15 mins for reviewing the unattempted questions. It is advised not to stick to a question for more than 60 seconds. Use elimination techniques and strategic guessing as it is a MCQ based test.
- Improve Speed and Accuracy: As calculators are not allowed, practice mental maths, practice shortcuts for problem-solving and focus more on accuracy compared to speed. Focus on weak areas and revise strong areas. Separate the topics accordingly and try solving questions relevant to the topic with time stamps.
