General Category – Highest Competition, Lowest Acceptance Rate (0.12%)
The only category of students that suffers the most, the General Category, has the most applicants, around 1,69,765, but less than a handful of students get selected, approximately 215 candidates, a huge difference of 1,69,550 and an acceptance rate of 0.12%. Therefore, it is advisable to score higher marks and prepare your best if you receive the call from IIM Indore.
EWS Category – Slightly Higher than General, yet Tough (0.13%)
Also, standing in the same spot as the General Category, EWS applicants also face the hard reality. Only 19 applicants were selected for admission out of 13,859 applicants at the start of the admission process.
OBC-NCL Category – Almost double the acceptance rate than the General (0.28%)

SC Category – Tough Competition for a Handful of Seats (0.35%)
SC Cateogry do received some advantage when sectional and overall cutoffs are relaxed for them. However, they often make the mistake of thinking that this would ensure a guaranteed admission, which is not true in reality. Many applicants who score higher received more extra points, and others who prepared well received more points in their offline personal interviews. As a result, out of 20,453 applicants, only 73 applicants were selected, making the acceptance rate 0.35%.
ST Category – Less Applicants, Less Seats (0.69%)
With much better chances than SC category applicants, ST category applicants also make the same mistake of underestimating other applicants, which they regret after the admission process. Only 37 applicants were selected for the final admission out of 5339 applicants, with an acceptance rate of 0.69%.
PWD – Highest Acceptance Rate of almost 2% (1.82%)
The highest acceptance rate than other categories of applicants. PWD applicants make their impact by preparing more hard to get ensured admission. Since, like other relaxed categories, PWD made the same mistake of underestimating others. Only 19 applicants were selected for the MBA program out of 1040 applicants, with an acceptance rate of 1.82%.
