IIM Kozhikode Admission Eligibility 2025

To qualify, candidates have to meet the following cut-offs based on their CAT 2024 score and academic performance: 

  • CAT Cut-off: Overall of at least 85 percent with section-wise cut-offs.
  • Academic Cut-off: 60% in both 10th and 12th grades for general category candidates.
  • Candidates who are CA/CMA (ICWA) and/or CS with or without a graduation degree, by obtaining at least 50% aggregate marks in any professional examination.

While meeting the above criteria is necessary for shortlisting at IIM Kozhikode, it does not guarantee entry into the next round.

IIM Kozhikode Selection Criteria 2025

IIM Kozhikode Selection Criteria – Stage 2

Candidates enter the final stage consisting of a Personal Interview (PI) and a Writing Ability Test (WAT). A final score is computed incorporating parameters like the CAT score, academic marks, gender diversity, etc for IIM Kozhikode admissions.

Note:- 

  • No Class X marks due to COVID: 15% weightage split between CAT 2024 score and Class XII marks.
  • No Class XII marks due to COVID: 20% weightage split between CAT 2024 score and Class X marks.

1. CAT Index Score

The CAT Index Score will carry a weightage of 50%.

2. SSC/Class X/IB/Equivalent Percentage Score

  • Percentile calculated considering all subjects in the mark sheet irrespective of board parameters.
  • Scores are normalized by taking the highest board percentage and dividing it into 15.
  • Candidates without Class X marks due to COVID-19 will have the 15% weightage divided between the CAT 2024 score and Class XII percentage.

3. HSC/Class XII/IB/Equivalent/Diploma Percentage Score

  • Percentage computed on the basis of all subjects in the marks sheet, without any consideration of board norms.
  • Scores are normalized by dividing by the highest board percentage for the stream and then multiplying by 20.
  • Candidates without Class XII marks due to COVID-19: The 20% weightage will be divided equally between the CAT 2024 score and Class X percentage.

4. Gender/Academic Diversity Score

  • Gender diversity: 10 points for female and transgender candidates.
  • Academic diversity: 5 points for those candidates who have non-engineering degrees or dual degrees including a non-engineering field with 60% aggregate marks.
  • A candidate can get either a gender or academic diversity score but not both.

5. Work Experience Score

  • 5% weightage will be given to work experience.
  • Only full-time jobs will be considered rather than internships and part-time jobs.
  • Self-employment will be considered with the proper documentation like income tax returns, partnership deed etc.

In this last stage, IIM Kozhikode’s final selection is done for candidates who have cleared the WAT and PI rounds considering various parameters such as scores in WAT and PI, CAT score, academic profile, gender diversity, etc.
