Campus Life at IIM Udaipur

Life at IIM Udaipur is a rollercoaster of emotions you go through, the experiences you have, and the memories you build. You will have busy days and lazy days. Days at the end of which you would feel so productive and then, there will be days when you feel like you did so much but nothing at the same time. You come out of it a more refined and mature version of yourself, someone who is better able to handle the challenges of corporate life.

A usual weekday at IIM Udaipur would begin at 7:30 – 8:00 in the morning. Waking up, getting ready for the day, and having a bite of breakfast take up your time before you head to the first session of the day. Your schedule for the rest of the day will include the scheduled sessions for the day, meals, assignments, projects, study sessions, club activities, and on some days guest lectures and other events. When it comes to events, you cannot go without mentioning Solaris, the annual management fest of IIM Udaipur. A much-awaited event, lots of effort goes into planning and preparing for the event throughout the year.

These events are organized by the various functional & professional, social & recreational, and governance & administration student clubs and committees on campus. Together there are more than 30 clubs and committees on campus. Spread across 300 acres, the campus is one of the biggest among the IIMs. The institute is situated in the Balicha village of Rajasthan, around 8km away from the city of Udaipur. Surrounded by valleys and slopes with the architecture reflecting the traditional Rajasthani fortresses and nearby ‘chowks’, the campus is extremely picturesque. A blend of the old and the new, the campus is equipped with all kinds of infrastructure and facilities.

As a student of the residential program, you will be allotted a single room equipped with a bed, desk, chair, cupboard, a full-length mirror, and an almirah.
