IIT Bombay provides a 2 year full-time MBA program through its management school called Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM). The last date to apply for the IIT Bombay MBA program is 31st January 2025 by 5 PM. A valid CAT score is required with an expected cutoff of 95 percentile. Shortlisted candidates will appear for a personal interview from 6th–9th March 2025 on the campus itself. The IIT Bombay MBA will now be tough since IIT Bombay now allows students to apply with a 3 year-bachelor degree in selected disciplines.

IIT Bombay MBA Application Process

Step 1: Go to the official admission website.

Step 2: Click on the “MBA Admission” tab below the IIT Bombay Home.

Step 3: Now, you will be directed to another page. Click on “IIT Bombay MBA Application” on the home page appearing in front of “ONLINE Application” (Underlined). 

Step 4: Click on “New User? Click here to register”. Complete the registration by entering a valid email address (email address should be active and accessible)

Step 5: Click on the URL sent to you by IIT Bombay for MBA program. And fill in your basic details such as email and the password. 

Step 6: Click on the “Fill Form” on top of the important notes. And start filling in your information as directed on the website. You should enter your details and click on “submit finally”  after verifying your details. Ensure you complete the mandatory fields within 50 minutes, as the session will expire after 50 minutes of inactivity on the application form page.

Step 7: Click “Go to Registered Applicant Page” to upload all the required documents in the specific format mentioned there. Upload all the required documents in specific format and verify the uploaded documents. 

Step 8: Preview your form and the submit after verifying all the details. Remember to carefully check all the details for IIT Bombay MBA application. After submission, you will be directed to the payment tab. 

Step 9: Pay the applicable fee online using different payment methods. A Debit or Credit Card payment is preferred since it is accepted widely and the error of mistake is at a minimum.

IIT Bombay MBA Admission 2025 New Changes and Updates

Major Update

Candidates with a first-class (>60%) bachelor’s degree in any discipline, along with a valid CAT score are now eligible to apply. This means any candidate with a 3-year bachelor’s degree is now eligible to apply for the IIT Bombay MBA program. 

Moreover, if a candidate has also done an integrated/dual degree, post-graduation and any Additional independent professional qualifications/affiliations such as CA, ICWA, CFA, CMA, CS (Company Secretary), and FIAI are also eligible and advised to attract their valid degrees/qualifications in an additional section other than bachelor’s degree. 

It is also expected that candidates with above mentioned additional qualifications could perform better than their peers in the interview call and final composite score.
