The registration process for JEE Advanced 2025 has officially begun today, April 23, through the official website jeeadv.ac.in, as announced by IIT Kanpur. Candidates who have met the JEE Main 2025 cutoff can now complete the JEE Advanced application form online. Registration has also opened for Foreign Nationals and OCI/ PIO (F) candidates. The last date to complete the registration is May 2, while the application fee can be paid till May 5 by all candidates, regardless of their nationality. The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will take place on May 18 and will be conducted in computer-based test mode across 222 cities in India and 2 international locations.

JEE Advanced 2025: Eligibility Criteria (NEW)

#1. Number of AttemptsCandidates can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years. Those who appeared for the first time in 2024 are eligible in 2025, and those appearing for the first time in 2025 can attempt again in 2026.Not eligible: Candidates who appeared in 2023 or earlier.Exception: As per the Supreme Court ruling on Jan 10, candidates who appeared in 2023 and dropped out of their course between Nov 5–18, 2024, can appear in 2025.

#4. Class 12 QualificationCandidates must have passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025.Candidates who passed in 2023 or earlier are not eligible, regardless of subjects taken.
#5. Previous Admission to IITsCandidates must not have been admitted to any IIT before, regardless of whether they continued or withdrew from the program. This includes those who accepted a seat online or reported to a centre.
Special Note on OCI/PIO CandidatesOCI/PIO cardholders who obtained their card before March 4, 2021, will be treated as Indian nationals for seat allocation in IITs.

JEE Advanced 2025 Application Form (OUT)

JEE Advanced 2025 registration is open from April 7 to May 2, 2025, exclusively for candidates who rank among the top 2.5 lakh qualifiers in JEE Main 2025. The JEE Advanced application form is available online only at the official portal.

To apply, the candidates can follow the following steps:

  1. Registration: Begin by logging in using your JEE Main 2025 roll number, password, and security pin.
  2. Form Filling: Enter all the required personal information, including name, parent/guardian name, and so forth. Make sure the information is correct, as errors could lead to disqualification.
  3. Exam centre selection: Choosing your preferred JEE Advanced 2025 exam centres.
  4. Document upload: Upload scanned copies of all the necessary documents.
  5. Print Confirmation: After submission of the form, download and print multiple copies for future use.

Documents Required for JEE Advanced 2025 Application

Applicants must upload the following scanned documents:

  1. Class 10 certificate (proof of date of birth) or birth certificate.
  2. Class 12 (equivalent) pass certificate.
  3. Name of change document (if applicable)- Gazette notification.
  4. Caste or category certificate (if applicable)

For candidates who dropped out between Nov 5- 18, 2024, following additional documents is required:

1. A stamped letter from the Head of the Institution (Principal/ Dean) as per the official format.

2.  A notarized affidavit ( INR 10 stamp paper), for minors, this must be signed by a parent or guardian.

3. A formal withdrawal notification from the previous institution.
