The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the results of NIFT 2025 for Stage 1, making a significant milestone for aspiring fashion and design students across India. NIFT Entrance Exam results 2025 are now available on the official website https://exams.nta.ac.in/ for all UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs at NIFTs for the academic year 2025-26, except for Bachelor Of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech), whose results will be released separately. Qualified students of Stage 1 will be called to appear for NIFT Stage 2 exam, including the Situation test, Studio test, and Personal Interview round.

Shortlisting Criteria for NIFT Exam Stage 2
Shortlisting for Stage 2 comprises of Situation Test, Studio Test and/or Personal Interview on, done on the basis of candidate’s performance in Stage 1, adhering to the approved category-wise seat matrix and selection criteria set by the NIFT. “As per the criteria, candidates have been shortlisted in a 1:4 ratio (one seat:one candidate), category-wise. For Persons with Disabilities (PwD), only those who scored less than 50% of their respective category’s cut-off marks have been shortlisted.” as per the official NTA notice.
Based on the program, candidates will see one of the following status for NIFT 2025 Stage 1 result:
- For B.Des: Shortlisted/Not Shortlisted for Situation Test
- For M.Des, M.F.M., M.F.Tech: Shortlisted/Not Shortlisted for Personal Interview
- For B.Des. NLEA: Shortlisted/Not Shortlisted for Studio Test & Interview
- For B.F.Tech. NLEA: Shortlisted/Not Shortlisted for Technical Ability Test (TAT) & Interview

NIFT Stage 1 Results FAQs
Students who clear both tests are required to appear for the situation test for the final selection. The students gets selected on the basis of performance in selection rounds. After selection, students must pay the fees for seat confirmation.
Cut-off marks are typically set by the exam board or institution and may vary as per the program and the students category.
The result for B.F.Tech will be announced later separately, since there is no second phase exam for B.F.Tech.
Candidates who qualify in Stage 1 will be eligible for Stage 2, which includes Situation Test, Personal Interview, Studio Test. The final result will be prepared by giving weightage to CAT, GAT, and Situation Test/Studio Test/Personal Interview.
NIFT scores are valid for the admission cycle of the same academic year only.
