NMAT or NMIMS Aptitude Test is a National Level Management Test to get admission to the flagship PGDM/MBA Programs of NMIMS Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and its other campuses. To excel in the NMAT 2024, it is crucial to have a deep understanding of the NMAT Syllabus. Introduction to NMAT 2024

NMAT is a computer-based test that assesses a candidate’s proficiency in three key areas: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning. The examination consists of multiple-choice questions and is conducted over a span of three months, allowing candidates flexibility in choosing their preferred test date. 

One can attempt the NMAT Exam up to 3 times; 1 main attempt and 2 retakes (NMIMS Mumbai does not consider the Retake NMAT Scores, only the first attempt is considered). You are allowed to attempt retakes with a 15-day gap. Further, you can also reschedule the date and time of your NMAT exam within the 70-day test window by paying the reschedule fee.

NMAT Notification and Dates 2024

The NMAT registration will start around August 2024 and would end around October 2024. So, candidates need to fill out the form by this time in order to register successfully. NMAT 2024 Exam Pattern

The NMAT Exam comprises three sections- Language Skills, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Skills. The total exam duration is 2 hours with an individual time limit for each section. You can choose the order of sections in which you would like to attempt the exam. Below is the detailed Exam Pattern:

Key Points To Note:

  • Try targeting a score of 235+ for NMIMS Mumbai – The best college accepting NMAT score.
  • NMAT is a computer-adaptive exam i.e. the difficulty of the exam gets modified as you attempt the questions.
  • There is no negative marking in the NMAT Exam.
  • There is sectional cut-off in NMAT. Hence to get through this exam you need to clear out the overall and sectional cut-offs.
  • You are allowed a maximum of three attempts for NMAT.

The topics covered in this section include Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar and usage, and Para Jumbles.

NMAT Syllabus for Logical Reasoning

The Logical Reasoning section of NMAT 2024 evaluates a candidate’s logical thinking and problem-solving skills. There will be 36 questions in this section that a candidate has to complete within 40 minutes. This section includes questions that assess your ability to analyze information, make decisions, and solve complex problems. The topics covered in this section include Analytical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
