RBI Assistant Preparation Strategy 2022, section wise, time management tips, marks distribution, and FAQs
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the conducting body of the RBI Assistant examination. Every year, lakhs of students appear for the RBI Assistant exam across the country. On 17th February 2022, RBI generated a notification regarding 950 vacancies for the position of RBI Assistant. Online Registration for RBI Assistant will start from 8th March 2022, and an online examination will be conducted on 26 – 27 March 2022. RBI Assistant preparation strategy 2022 is one of the most crucial step during the preparation journey of a candidate to clear the exam.

- English Language – In this section comprehension and Cloze test covers half of the total section. The remaining 20 marks are evenly distributed between Para jumbles, sentence joining, phrase replacement, and sentence improvement.
- Reasoning Ability – In this section 20 marks are allotted for puzzles, which covers half of the section, and is moderate when it comes to the difficulty level. The remaining section includes inequality & critical reasoning, blood relation, input/output, and data sufficiency.
- Numerical Ability – Questions in this section are straightforward. There are 15 data interpretation questions in the exam paper further the rest of the paper consists of data sufficiency, quadratic equations, simplifications, and a few questions of arithmetic.

- Cloze Test and Reading Comprehension are the important part of the English section. Also, it’s very crucial to build a good reading speed with consistent effort and persistence.
- Build a daily habit of reading the newspaper and mainly focus on the economic and editorial section of the newspaper. This helps in general awareness and in staying up to date.
- Take keynotes of the important news and try to formulate questions that could be asked in the exam.
- There are two topics that are considered very scoring, that is Grammar and sentence correction, a candidate needs to be quick and accurate while attempting related questions.
- Make sure to refer to books and online classes to master basic concepts like para jumbles, phrase replacement.
Numerical Ability – RBI Assistant Preparation Strategy 2022
- This section is considered the most tricky in comparison to any other section in the exam paper. Candidates need to have a vigorous approach and regular practice to clear this section.
- Try to focus on every topic and to keep track try to make a schedule that you can follow while preparing for this section.
- Focus more on TSD, Time & Work, etc, and also do a lot of practice of data interpretation.
- Practice as much as possible to get a good grasp of the exam paper.
Reasoning Ability – RBI Assistant Preparation Strategy for 2022
- This section is mostly considered time-consuming compared to other sections in the exam paper. Candidates need to solve and practice at least 40-50 questions on the daily basis.
- Try to solve questions alternatively from every topic, in this way you can make sure that you are covering all the topics in the syllabus.
- While solving the questions make sure to list down recurring questions, sometimes they do come in the exam paper.
