What is the Freeze Option in CLAT Counselling 2025?
There are multiple scenarios that a candidate can face during the counselling process of CLAT 2025. The candidates can either choose to freeze, float, or slide their choices during the CLAT 2025 counselling process. The freeze option in the CLAT Counselling process is for those students who are satisfied with their allotted seats. The candidates can choose to freeze the seat allocation process. By choosing this option the candidate confirms that they will not be participating further in any rounds of counselling.
What is the Float option in CLAT Counselling 2025?
The float option in the CLAT Counselling process is for those students who are dissatisfied with the allotted seat in any of the NLUs and choose to leave the seat in hopes of achieving a higher preference in any of the NLUs.
The candidate who chooses to opt for the float option in CLAT can hold the seat until they have been allotted their preferred college. Once they have been allotted the seat they can move towards their new choices. To choose the float option the candidates must remember that they are required to pay the CLAT confirmation fee in the first, second and third rounds.
What is the Slide option in CLAT Counselling 2025?
There is also a third option available for the candidates. Candidates can choose the slide option. This option is beneficial for those candidates who wish to opt for a better course while retaining their seat at the same NLU. Suppose a candidate is offered BBA LLB at any particular NLU but wishes to take BA LLB they can choose the slide option. Only opt for this option if you are dissatisfied with your program and wish to stay at the same NLU.Â
Exit Option in CLAT Counselling 2025
There is also a fourth option available for the students. If at any point during the counselling process, the candidates do not wish to continue further in the process they can choose to exit the process.
If any candidate chooses the exit option after choosing the float or freeze option the seat allotted to the candidate will be reallocated and the confirmation fee paid by the candidate will be refunded.
