Xavier’s Aptitude Test or XAT is the second most sought after management entrance exam in India. XAT is being conducted every year since 1950s and thousands of students have taken part in it since then. XAT is the gateway to the prestigious and the oldest management institute of India, Xavier’s Labour Relations Institute (XLRI Jamshedpur). Important Dates
XAT process usually begin around the month of July/August every year and it remains open for a prolonged period of about 4 months, up until the end of November. This long window gives students the opportunity to apply for XAT and XLRI at their own pace without making any mistakes. XAT by default is always conducted on the first Sunday of January and it is the same this year as well. The exam for this year i.e., XAT 2025 is scheduled to happen on January 5, 2025. XAT authorities then takes about 3 weeks tentatively to release the results, making it around the third week of January. XLRI also releases the response sheet quite early, around a week from the day of exam, which gives students a rough idea as to how many responses are correct and where do they exactly stand among the peers. Eligibility for XAT 2025
As per the official XAT 2025 notification, a candidate should fulfil the following XAT 2025 eligibility criteria.
- A minimum of 15 educational years till graduation is mandatory for candidates.
- Candidates should have completed their bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution. However, a bachelor’s degree is not required for candidates who have cleared professional degrees like CA (Chartered Accountant) or CS (Company Secretary)
- Final-year bachelor’s degree candidates or those awaiting their results are also eligible to appear for the XAT 2025 exam.
- XAT 2025 invites both freshers as well as candidates with work experiences. There is no upper cutoff for work experience, however, a sweet spot is considered around 2-3 years.
