XAT 2025 Exam Pattern
The XAT Exam comprises five sections; Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision-making, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation, General Knowledge, and Essay Writing. The total test duration is 3.5 hours with an individual time limit for each section. Below mentioned is the detailed Exam Pattern:

- XAT Marking Scheme:
- +1 for the correct answer. -0.25 for an incorrect answer, and -0.10 for more than 8 un-attempted consecutive questions.
- No XAT Negative Marking in the GK Section

- Part 1: Decision Making, Quantitative ability and data interpretation, and Verbal and logical ability.

XAT Selection 2025: Selection Process
After the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) results are released, the selection procedure for XAT 2025 will start. There are no specific criteria for selection; instead, each XAT participating institute has its own unique XAT selection approach for the students who are selected (whose names appear on the final merit list based on their XAT exam 2025 score). To participate in the XAT selection process 2025, candidates must register on the official website of the colleges they desire to apply to.

Shortlisting Of Candidates
Results for the XAT 2025 will be available by the final week of January 2025. Students will be short-listed by XLRI for Interviews and Group Discussions. The cutoff that is set by the institutes will be used to select students for further process.
Selection Rounds
Next, the shortlisted students will be called for the further XLRI call criteria which would consist of the following rounds:
- Group Discussion (GD) or/ and Essay writing
- Personal Interview (PI)
Final Selection
After conducting the XLRI Jamshedpur selection criteria, the final list of selected students will be prepared. Selected candidates will be offered admission to the XAT Participating Institutes in their respective offered programs.
