The syllabus for NEET comprises major topics from 11th and 12th standard PCB. Good preparation for NEET ensures you do well in Boards in the 3 subjects As it is followed by the all concepts from NCERT which helps strengthening your board preparation as well. NEET preparation also ensures you are conceptually sound in the all the topics in depth which will help in getting you prepared for your dream colleges like AIIMS DELHI as well
Know the strategy to attempt NEET mocks:
Now getting acquainted with solving questions yourselves has some internal steps. You might initially have to go through solutions when not able to solve them. And that's okay. But how to get through?
i) Attempt should be to solve it by yourselves. Let's say you were able to solve it within 1-3 minutes. (Depends on difficulty/length). It's all fine. Let's suppose it is going beyond 4 minutes, it means you're still slow and need more practice to reduce speed.
ii) If the method is not clicking or stuck in some step, you should try for 5-10 minutes before seeing the solution. If you get the solution yourselves, you'll feel great as well as you will remember it for a long time because struggle was involved
iii) If not able to solve even after spending 5-10 mins, Then you can check the solution, and mark in which step you were stuck, was it the first step or something in between? Note that step in your cheat sheet. That you'll have to revise so that the same mistake is not repeated in the Future.
After doing 50 questions repeatedly, you'll observe you are able to solve some or many questions without seeing the solution. That time you can see you have improved & you can consider this topic complete and can move to the next topic. In this process you don't have to get demotivated, just understand it is a part of the process, and in case not able to solve it by yourself there isn't any issue the process isn't complete yet, the only thing you have to make sure is you have to do it enough number of times so that it gets ingrained in your mind
Expert Tip: Solve questions from some standard books and most importantly solve all questions being posted in the IIT Preparation - iQuanta group or iQuanta Paid group because the questions posted in the group are relevant which prepares you for a great extent for IIT. ( even if you don't comment, do solve) .
1) Keep solving Questions from your materials and in case you have a doubt, post in iQuanta group. Somebody is always there to help.
2) Make a note of new things you learn. It helps a lot. And keep revising. Be regular this whole year.
iQuanta classes are known for concept building, application and the art of solving, doubt clarification, and very much result-oriented.
People say winners don't do different things but do things differently, we say do it with more perseverance, dedication, and of course smartly
The four subparts of NEET Physics are more specifically known as Mechanics, Modern Physics, Electricity, and Mechanics and Optics. The exercise on visualization will be helpful while attempting to solve practical problems in mechanics. You will have to see that there is a rationale and derivation given for each formula, also. Regardless of the topics, the following approach can be utilized for preparation:
Step 1: The first step in your preparation should be to clear the fundamentals. To grasp fundamental ideas, one should read the NCERT texts.
Step 2: You can start using standard material and practice questions from popular books like HC Verma and DC Pandey once you have a firm grasp of the principles. Books with more difficult questions, such as Halliday and I.E. Irodov and Resnick are also worth a try if you want to go above and beyond.
Step 3: Practice your DPP (Daily Practice Problems) questions using the coaching materials.
Step 4: Complete a lot of sectional and full-length mocks. Time-bound practice lets you identify your strengths and weaknesses and adjust your approach accordingly.
Step 5: Try Every Step of the Past Year
Chemistry is allegedly the make-or-break subject in NEET preparation. Most students who are naturally inclined to math or physics seem to be wary of chemistry. Too many exceptions and the amount of memorization required, especially in inorganic chemistry, could be the reasons for the same. Yet, with a different strategy for different sections, one can also do well in the subject:
Stoichiometry:The most important chapter in physical chemistry is stoichiometry. You will find the rest of this preparation in this section to be more accessible if you understand the principles of it. This will enable you to master all the Chemistry material for NEET. Practice and gain a good hold of concepts like Molality, Normality, Morality, and Mole fraction.
Chemical Bonds: The chapter on chemical bonds addresses concepts of molecules. Molecules represent the smallest unit of a complex, and the principle developed in them can be applied to all aspects of organic chemistry. Issues related to dipole moment, hybridization, and VSEPR theory are always directly questioned. You should focus your efforts in understanding how valence electrons are transferred in different types of bonds.
Chemical Equilibrium: This is actually one of the easiest chapters. Because some questions are conceptual in nature, such as those based on Le Chatelier's principle (impact of temperature, concentration, and pressure), be sure to read the theory section in addition to the numerical.
Atomic structure: Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle, the De Broglie Hypothesis, quantum numbers, and the spectrum of a hydrogen atom are some of the common topics of questions. This chapter is believed to make plenty of sense. Previous trends suggest that questions on this topic come with an easy-to-moderate difficulty level. Common queries should be practiced.
Chemical kinetics: First-order reactions require particular attention in chemical kinetics. It is one of the simpler chapters because the topics included in the NEET form are likewise not that challenging.
Thermodynamics: This chapter is thought to be challenging. If one has studied the first section in physics, they can comprehend it. It takes some time to fully grasp the majority of the topics. You can solve numerical problems, such as entropy calculations, more easily if your notions are clear.
Electrochemistry:Important units in electrochemistry include the Nernst equation, its relationship, and its numerous applications, such as electrochemical series, the E.M.F. of galvanic cells, Faraday's laws of electrolysis, electrolytic conductance, and Kohlrausch's law. If you have a solid understanding of the Nernst equation, these units are simple.
Surface Chemistry : This chapter must be carefully read from NCERT Book. In this topic also, fact-based questions can be asked.
You have to practice shortcut formulae for numerical questions so that you can quickly determine the answers and ultimately save time. You should memorize all of the chemical kinetics, electrochemistry, equilibrium, and mole concept formulations. Your numerical technique is strong because you have solved numerous problems in these areas.
For this section of chemistry, NCERT is supposedly the key. For the past two to three months, many NEET applicants neglect this section. One should not make this error. The curriculum is extensive, and in order to do well, one must study it from the start and go over it frequently.
Coordination compounds: The main topics of this chapter should include stereoisomers of coordination compounds, Werner Theory, geometry and forms of tetrahedral and octahedral complexes, and crystal field theory and its application.
Metals and minerals: The majority of standard questions come from NCERT. This chapter covers important subjects such as the electrolytic reduction method (aluminum and magnesium), the cyanide process (gold and silver), the carbon reduction method (tin and iron), and the self-reduction method (lead and copper).
Block P: This is easily among the most essential topics in inorganic chemistry. You can easily expect 3-4 questions from this topic.
The interesting thing about NEET Chemistry is organic chemistry. If you understand what's happening, or what is happening behind the scenes of the reactions, you can do extremely well in this section. Never forget that an electrophile is attacked by a nucleophile. Try not to think how a reaction would work out, especially in organic chemistry. Besides that, try to understand the whole process.
You should be aware of the entire mechanisms of the reaction types discussed above. These are by far the largest part of organic chemistry. The most relevant reaction is name reactions and standard reactions. On this subject, direct questions are asked. Every Aldol condensation and Cannizzaro's reaction has a very high probability of obtaining at least one question.
First and foremost, know your biology syllabus for NEET exam. It is advised to start with the NCERT textbook for biology as NCERT books are deemed best. Additionally, it is the standard book.
It is advised to split the syllabus for biology into 3 parts, for easy preparation. Generally, the question types for the exam will be from three types of chapters, they are:
Must-Do: It includes questions from topics such as Animal Respiration, Reproduction & Development, Animal Nutrition, Animal Tissues, Biotechnology, Ecology and more.
Do Only if you have sufficient time: This section includes chapters like the Anatomy of Flowering Plants, Animal Kingdom from Porifera to Echinoderms, Microbes and Origin of Life, Growth Repair and Regeneration, Biodiversity etc.
Do or Die: The category covers important topics like Photosynthesis, Cell Structure, Plant Morphology, Plant Nutrition, Genetics, Monera, Plant Kingdom, and many others.
Never forget the most important step in your preparation is to refer NEET previous question papers of biology. It provides an idea about the question patterns and is the best way to practice and revise.
Students are advised to study all the examples given in NCERT along with the common names and to prepare wisely for Plantae and Animalia topics as it is time-consuming and exhaustive. And, more emphasis must be given on Chordates of class levels and Phylum in Non-Chordates.
Always have the habit of making charts and notes of names while studying for biology as this will help you in revising and to keep names on your fingertips. Also, it becomes easy to refer before the NEET exam.
After all the efforts for NEET exam preparation, stay confident and calm. Don’t concentrate much on the number of seats offered by NEET, after all, you only require one seat, just aim for it!
