CAT 2025 KickStart Steps :

a) Quant : Get started with Number System, as this is the Base of all Aptitude. Followed by Arithmetic, PNC, Algebra and Geometry. In case you have iQuant CAT 24 Course, get started with 100+ Conceptual Videos in your dashboard. You will also get Non Engineer's Package for extreme basics, (like a summary of 6-10th class NCERT).

b) VARC : Start Reading from 250 Genre wise articles provided by iQuanta yaha mil jaynge : https://www.iquanta.in/free-cat-study-material ) and try solving some RCs on your own from Past CAT Papers : https://www.iquanta.in/test/cat-previous-papers

Mindset :

a) First believe that it is possible, and tumse nahi hoga to kisi aur se bhi nahi hoga.

b) Profile k bare me sochna band karo, 99%le + Le aaoge to you will get much better option than you are currently in. 20LPA + hi rahega irrespective of your profile. Ha ab 20 to 36LPA it can range, but much better than what your colleges have to offer right. And later on it all depends on how you are performing in your Corporate life.

d) Stop thinking about coaching, its more important that you have quality content to practice and apply. All you need for cracking LRDI is familiarity with the CAT Type LRDI Sets. This means if you have solved 600-1000 CAT Type LRDI sets before your CAT Exam you will be able to solve at least 50% of the sets in the CAT Exam. From this point, one can plan their preparation strategy in accordance with the following steps:

Start with games like sudoku, and kakuro (Initial Phase)

Before diving straight into CAT Level LRDI sets one should focus on developing basic logical abilities. Mind games like Sudoku and Kakuro involve logic, problem-solving and spotting patterns. These games help aspirants develop logical abilities, which trains them in spotting patterns and initiating the solution of any puzzle-based LRDI Set. This step will give you a slow but good start.

Start Developing Basic Concepts (Initial Phase)

In this phase, you can go through the assumed syllabus of CAT’s LRDI Section. One can make a list of topics mentioned in the syllabus, try to understand the basic concepts of each topic and start solving with basic sets of the given topics. In the real exam, one can never expect a set straight out of some topic, but a set that involves a mixture of two or more topics. Still in the Initial phase, one should solve topic-wise sets, as this process will help you in building strong basics.

Start solving PYQ of years 2000 to 2014 (Intermediate Phase)

Now that one has an idea of the syllabus and a clear understanding of the topics, one should start solving the Previous year's questions from the year 2000 to 2014 and try to understand the type of Sets asked in the CAT Exam. It is observed that the level of LRDI sets has increased from the year 2015. Hence PYQs from the year 2000 to 2014, should be practised before Starting CAT-level LRDI Sets. Practice (Intermediate Phase)

Practice CAT Level LRDI Sets. Practising more and more CAT-Level sets is the only way to improve in this section. When you are 9 months away from the CAT Exam you should target to solve at least 4 LRDI sets daily. Sectionals (Intermediate Phase)

After enough practice, you can start taking sectionals. Taking sectional mocks allows you to practice the particular section in a time-based manner. The sectional test allows one to focus on an individual section at a time, which can help one to identify their strength and weaknesses and can improve time management skills in an individual. In LRDI, identifying the right set to start with has always been a challenge for aspirants. Through sectional one can develop the skill of choosing the right set, to implement in mocks and finally in the real exam.

Taking and Analysing Mocks (Final Phase)

Mock Tests are one of the most important aspects of CAT Preparation. Through mocks one gains test-taking experience, which makes one habitual of exam pattern. Mocks are designed to help aspirants build concepts, prepare strategies, identify weaknesses, and take steps to eliminate them. Though just taking mocks is not enough, one should analyze mocks so that they can understand their level of preparation, and can also reflect on their weak areas. After analyzing mocks, it is also important to strategize further preparation accordingly.

CAT Quants Tips , Weightage, Class-Flow at iQuanta:

▶️QA is the most popular section of CAT. You either love this section or hate it. There's no third way. Engineers usually find this section much easier than other the other two. One thing I would like to say to all non-engineers or anyone who gets intimidated by this section is that this is the easiest section to improve upon. There's a well-defined syllabus which covers a lot of topics which all of us have studied in Class 9th and 10th. Concept used is same just the application might differ some topics like Numbers, PNC & Algebra. Quant is also the highest scoring section of CAT with multiple iQuanta students even scoring 102/102 in CAT'19. (3 hours pattern)

The Syllabus Dilemma

The most important topics (in terms of weightage):

• => Arithmetic( 8-9 Questions)
• => Algebra ( 6-7 Questions)
• => Geometry (4-5 Questions)

Other important topics:

• => Numbers ( 1-3 question but this topic is going to be your base for all other topics, some concept that you'll learn in this topic will help you not only in Quant but some DI sets as well)
• => Series, logs ,P and C (3-4) Question)
• => Miscellaneous (1-2 Questions)

Several chapters are quite simple and need just a little brush-up. A chapter like Logarithm and Series is considered to be pretty simple and you can expect 1-2 questions each from there.
